Excelsior Elementary School
Laura Wilkin: A strong school with caring teachers. Some are tougher than others, but we feel that the tougher ones often do a better job preparing the kids for the future. It's a bit crowded, due to the closure of nearby school a couple years ago, but the kids have adapted well. The teachers incorporate technology every day, with the use of Promethean boards, interactive learning tools, and computer-based tools. The local schools foundation supports many programs in the school, which is great for the school, but ebing constantly asked to support the foundation can be tiresome.
