There is a true sense of community at this school. The PTA is very active supporting our kids and the teachers. The principal is amazing. She seems to know each kid and truly cares for them. The teachers are outstanding and balance caring for the kids and pushing them to high standards. The student body is diverse, which is a huge plus for us. The school offers a science program, great art docents, a new large garden that all classes participate in weekly, a huge harvest festival that seems to bring out all of East Sac., movie and dance nights, and fundraising for school supplies for kids. The large book faire just ended and the winter festival took place last night to a packed house of proud parents and grandparents. This school has been re-energized and is the place to be.

The API score at Judah is now up to 850. The have a great staff, principal, and active PTA. Each year we go to the Harvest Festival in the fall. The school has a garden, science lab, library and is in a cute historic building. They have done a lot to improve their academic program, especially in 4, 5th and 6th. I had planned to move my student in 4th grade, but am very happy that we stayed.

I have two children that just started attending Theodore Judah elementary after spending the first couple of years in private school. For some reason I thought if I paid for my child's education it would be well worth it....wrong! When my kids entered the public school system they were behind in their math skills. Both of their teachers have gotten them up to speed with the rest of the class by providing extracurricular tutoring. The school as a whole has an excellent PTA which provide family activities, for fundraising, throughout the year, Family movie nights, harvest festival, winter fair, etc. What I also appreciate is the diversity in race of the students. Great school!
