Briana Rivera: My son (second grade) is in his fourth year here, and my daughter (in kindergarten) is in her third year here.  I previously had no experience with montessori, but after visiting the school and seeing how respectful the staff and students were, how engaged the children were with their activities, and how caring and involved the director was as we toured, I decided to enroll our son.  Within a very short time, my children's father and I were amazed at the changes we had seen in our son.  It was like watching a flower bloom.  He was already fairly confident before he started KHM, but he became even more sure of himself and wanted to do more things independently.  He blew me away when he shrugged off my efforts to show him the United States on a world map we had, instead showing ME where each of the continents were.  His inquisitive nature was being nourished, and he went from crying every day I dropped him off at his previous "day care" to being excited to go to school and looking forward to Mondays.
Of course, when it was time for our 2 1/2 year old daughter to start pre-K, we started her there, also.  Again, within just a couple weeks, she kept telling us how beautiful the school was (yes, that is the word she used).
KHM is not just a place to send your child to learn the alphabet, how to read, and how to do math.  The school nourishes the entire person.  Environmental awareness, healthy eating, respect for self and others, spirituality (not religion), and cultural awareness are also instilled at this school.
The director truly cares about providing the most positive, well-rounded experience for each child, and her attitude is shared by all staff at KHM.
Not only do my children's father and I love this school, but both my children are adamant that they want to stay at this school until 6th grade (the highest class level they currently have).  They say learning is fun, the materials are interesting, and the teachers are nice.
I wholeheartedly recommend KHM to anybody looking for a top-notch, well-rounded education.

This school has talented, dedicated teachers who care about nurturing the development of the whole child.  It is a warm, beautiful environment where children not only grow, but thrive.  I have had nothing but positive experiences with them.
