Adelante Dual Language Academy
: I Love Adelante, I think it has a great immersion program. My son went there for kindergarden this past school year and he spoke no Spanish, and now he speaks some very well..  My daughter will be attending in the up coming school year for kindergarden and my son is going to 1st. You do have to have volunteer hours, but that is also made known BEFORE you enroll you students. You have to be very involved in your childrens education for them the attend her. Way better than public school's in my opinion.

I think that you shouldnt have to volunteer. The parents should have the right to volunteer when they have the time.

: We have 2 daughters that are currently enrolled at Adelante. Our oldest has been there since the beginning and is now in the 6th grade, our youngest is now in the first. Though my youngest has been there for only 2 years, she is showing signs of academic success. She was on the Principal; Honor Roll twice this year, and is reading well in both spanish and english. Our oldest has been there, as mentioned since the beginning. She is one of the top students in her class, placed in the top 15 of the district's spelling bee, and as a 3rd grader was the first female to win the District Cesar Chavez Essay Contest; not bad for a student who had 1 hour of english a day.

Our school is great because we have a great Principal, dedicated and passionate teachers and staff, and parents who are commited to participating in the academic success, and school life of their children. We are a very diverse school community that has created a safe and family environment to facilitate success and joy.

Our school is growing, and this year we have 1 7th grade and 2 6th grade classes. Please visit arusd.org to inquire about this great opportunity.
