Forest Hill is overall a very good school. They have excellent, caring teachers and the culture is welcoming instead of being competitive or over-bearing with academics.

Forest Hill Elementary School
My son attends Forest Hill Elementary and is in their Kindergarten Special Day Class specifically for Autistic children. Their program is fantastic and his teachers and aids put 110% into their students every day. It is such a tough job and they have really perfected the way they work with the kids to get the best results possible. They use the Tucci Learning system and are constantly taking data and making sure that they are updating the children's goals to continue to push them to success.
My son's teacher actually uses the iPad in the classroom, and the children really respond to it because they are so visual and learn the best with visual cues paired with instruction.

About the CST
What is it?
The California Standards Test (CST) is an annual exam used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards. The CST is one of the five components of the STAR Program.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 2 through 11 in English language arts and math, in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science, and in grades 8, 10 and 11 in history/social science. In grades 9 through 11, students may also be assessed in math and science, depending on course enrollment.
How is it Scored?
Students receive one of five ratings: far below basic, below basic, basic, proficient or advanced. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
