Ledesma (Rita) Elementary School Reviews
Ledesma has differentiated education for kids who are advanced in certain subjects. Our son was able to be in fifth grade but take a seventh grade math class. I've never seen a school take that approach before. We've been very satisfied with most of the teachers as well.
I think that Rita Ledesma is the best school for my child to go to. She went to this school for 6 years and she just cannot leave it. But when she has to go to middle school, her friends will have to follow her. We are planning that she will go to Bernal Intermediate School. We have heard many good thing about it. Besides, her friends will go there too. My daughter and her two best friends go to 7th grade math together. She loves math a lot. Even though she and her friends are in 5th grade.
I feel like transferring my child to different school after this school year.there's no problem with the teachers or how the principal handles situation, the problem lies with students who have behavioral problems. My child complains a lot, that almost everyone in his class and some from other class bully him everyday. There was a time when he was holding an ice bag on his head because his classmate hit him with a water bottle with water in it. There was a time when I saw my son being pushed by a student for no apparent reason and then few student call him names which really deppress him a lot. Now my child find the school so mean to him, I just persuade him to find reasons to love his new school but being a parent, of course that hurts me so much knowing that he is emotionally and physically unsafe. I will certainly move him to different school next school year before things go really wrong. Ledesma is academically good though.
