I think that this school is awesome because i currently go to this school as a freshman and i am treated with respect. My teachers also do a good job teaching us and helping us raise grades. We also have great events such as a pep rally or talent show. I have great friends as well. :)

i am a freshman at kipp king. this is my first year at this school, i came from kipp summit academy (the school right next door) and from this being my 5th year at a kipp school, its a pretty good school, in terms of how teachers teach & how they take time out of their personal life to help us after school from 4:20-5:00pm
but teachers do abuse their privileges with discipline, because they take class time to discipline us, usually for something really stupid.
and other times falsly accuse students, and when teachers claim to have given us warnings, they give the "good kids" like 2-3 warnings and the "bad kids" 1 or usually just give them a conduct card right away. and the amount of hours they give us according to what we do is insane! in terms of me i have 6 hours and have been suspended once. and the most ive ever done was probably walk out of class because the teacher didnt let me go to the bathroom.
but over all its an okay school that really prepares you for college.

I am a student at KKC and i also agree that there are alot of drama that goes around in this school mainly because of the tight restrictions that it holds. The school is surrounded by a fence that restrict the students to stay within a small enclosed area. The school itself isn't very safe even though it has these fences, this year a student has been robbed of his ipod after school while helping throw the trash. He was beaten but luckily not badly hurt.
As a student I feel that some of the teachers abuse their privileges with the conduct card which they use to discipline the student when they just made a little mistake.

Its funny how all the  reviews are anonymous. i giver this school a 2.i feel that it lacks communication  & theres secrets within the school.the teachers dont communicate the full truth to the parents nor does the principal. The students are often put in mis leading situatons &often punished for miner things. This school is really strict for the little its producing. The students an a few teachers try an work hard as wellas stay a family an improve the school.the on thing i can say about this school is the academics are great. there are few african american teachers.& this school offers two althetic courses an very few  electives.

I am as well a student at KKC. My first year here has been great. Unlike any other school that I've attended it's determined to make you learn everyday and prepare you for college. It can be stressing at some points and also tons of work, but it'll pay off one day. The enviornment is also great, it's a somewhat small school and we're all friendly to one another as well as to new friends.

I am also a student at KKC and I completely agree with everything written in the box above, I like how in this school there is not a lot of drama like in other schools but the rules are ridiculous.A couple got suspended for 3 days for public display of affection. Every move you make, just more stress.

I am a former student here at KKC & everything went well at first. But then once everything fell into place, my surroundings became nothing but STRESS. Every daym I stressed about school & nothing else. I wouldn't recommend this school for those who aren't commited to doing a whole lot of work. Although, I can say that this school somewhat prepared me for college.
