Marymount of Santa Barbara School

There is a lot of outdated information out there about Marymount. The school was once a Catholic school, but has not actually been affiliated with the Catholic church since the early 1970s, though a few much loved traditions are still present. Marymount is now an independent pre-k through 8th grade school with the bandwidth to handle all types and styles of learners. For example, many children have benefitted from the advanced track math program. Students who need more support have benefitted from SKills App which supports students in any number of subjects. The tangible proof that the teaching at Marymount is effective is the fact that 2/3 of the students now score 95% (or above) on the standardized ERB test. My children have thrived in the nurturing, creative, but challenging environment at Marymount. The School's commitment to instilling character and values in its students has shown itself to be especially helpful as my eldest now seems better equipped than her peers to navigate all the challenges of high school. Marymount is exactly what one would hope for from an independent school.
