Believe this school is greatly lacking the drive needed to actively engage children in any activities other than "free time". Spanish speakers don't get enough encouragement to learn new english words or apply them to their conversations. They can't learn it if the teachers only speak to them in spanish. Also, when class is mainly spanish speaking, english speaking kids often get swept aside or rushed through things because teachers have already gone into lengthy detail with spanish speakers, and have no time to do the same with english speakers. All in all things need to be run much more efficently here. Teachers also become easily aggitated if parents ask a few questions that involve their children.. "does my child join in with circle time?" "does my child have many friends?" ect. Teachers often give half hearted answers or bluntly lie i.e say "yes, your child is always joining in" when your child has already said that they don't like to join in for what ever reason. Also, when my child was attending, he complained several times that the teachers were mean or said mean things to him. My child stopped enjoying school very shortly after enrolling because he was ignored or spoke to in a way which did not encourage or make him feel welcomed. Though on the plus side, they have LOTS of play time so he was always ready for a nap when school was out... They also about once a week give out some food to famillies, but do not regulate who takes what or how much. I witnessed on several occassions famillies back their vehicles up and take nearly everything and leave nothing for anyone else.
Agian, poor structure, drive, and a very obviouse lack of caring are just a few of the things that they possess that will hold your child back from devolping socially, as well as emotionally here. And getting them ready for Kindergarden? Forget it!!
