Soquel High School Reviews
Student per Teacher Ratio is missleading
Teachers are often teaching in crowded classrooms. Not enough chairs and supplies for students either. Students are not properly assessed before being assigned to math and science classes. Emphasis is on teachers credential not their ability to teach or if they want to teach a particular subject.
Discipline is a non issue for administration. Rowdy students are sent back to class and allowed to keep the real students from learning. It is all about the head count not what they are learning
Administration is inattentive to parents wanting to provide feedback on teachers and their effectiveness.
My daughters attended San Lorenzo Vally High School and now are teachers themselves.
My son had a terrible teachers and experiences with administration when trying to get help.
Soquel HS is DISMAL. In keeping with their average in the API- they get, AT BEST, a C- but not showing much potentials.
I would NOT suggest you send you child to SHS. VERY poor rating.
