I enjoy going to this school.  I started at another middle school and got in through open enrollment.  This school is the best.  Teachers and staff are cool and for once I can be safe and learn.  My grades went up and our school scores are at 776.

I really like this school. It offers many opportunities for a 6th grader like myself. The teachers are very understanding. The school has a great schedule. The block schedule gives us students more time in class than usual. Instead of having 30 minutes in each of your 8 periods, you have 90 minutes in each of your four periods a day. For example I have English, Math, History, and Art on and A day. On a B day I have Math, English, Science, and P.E. Each of those classes I have 90 minutes in.

Mount Gleason is a great school away from the rest of the valley, hidden in the hills.  The students have so many opportunities for success regardless of their academic strength coming into the school.  Three years ago the school went to a block schedule.  This schedule allows the students to have 90 minutes of Math and 90 minutes of English everyday without sacrificing history, science, electives, or PE time.   Test scores, school and community pride, and overall student academic growth are on the rise.  The Magnet Program for the highly gifted students gives another opportunity for success at one school.  I love working at this school and community.
