Brian Marshall: I was a student at Sunland elementary back when they were doing massive bussing in 1980, I remeber having mixed feelings, and wondering if Iwould like at all. Bussing back then was mandatory at least the first year was. That year I i found out that kids were no different than I, we all liked alot of the same things, and playing kick ball seemed to ease the fact that we looked different. sunland was a special place for, i loved the care taken with each child, My favorite teacher Mr Guy, was always there to give a kid a piece a candy to say a job well done. as I said before bussing the first year was mandatory, and optionaly the next year, well I chose to come back for another year as I couldn't think of not being with my newly found friends there. Thank you Sunland for making such a huge impact on me in the 5th and 6th grades

Peggy Ann Lynn: A friend and I attended Sunland Elementary in the late 60's. We are going to walk the Washington DC 3 day for the Cure in October. We have named our team Miss Heberle's girls. She was our 5th grade teacher and made a huge impact on our lives. We always remember with admiration for putting up with us. If you could forward a note to her, please let her know that two of her girls still think of her. Thank you Peggy Lynn and Cynthia Kohn
