Silicon Valley Academy Reviews
I agree with the previous review
I have a daughter attending this school. The school is owned by a lady who has her daughter attending the school. She keeps moving her best teacher up one level yearly to be teaching her daughter's level. I like the principle and some of the teachers. The school can improve by replacing the language/Quran teacher. This teacher is very unprofessional and treats kids with no respect. She also teaches Quran and that did not fit well with my daughter because the teacher screams at the kids. My daughter has nightmares.
This school make kids hate Arabic/Quran
The previous review is written by the school so please take it with a grain of salt. They real deal? The Arabic/Quran teacher is verbally abusive and screams at kids. My daughter used to love Quran. Now she hates both Arabic and Quran. She often has nightmares of that teacher.
This school uses "Best Practices" strategies in a teaching approach called GLAD (Guided Language Aquisition Design) that is so effective 5% of the students go to the Community College straight out of grade 8. Most of the students speak two to four languages, but are not so-called gifted students. They just have learning strategies that allow them to learn at higher levels! This GLAD program allows both gifted and special needs to succeed at much higher levels than a none GLAD environment. The program also focuses on conflect resolution and self discipline with personal responsibility. Go check it out!
