Debra: Topanga Elementary is an amazing school. I am so grateful for what they have done for my children. The community support is unique, the academics are impressive, and the faculty are dedicated. This school provides both academics and balance. My daughter went through the transitional kindergarten. It was exactly what she needed as a young (Oct birthday) starter. After school food sales include fruit juice Popsicles (with 1 ice cream option) and Pizza. Fundraising group brings in money for a Science teacher, PE teacher, school-wide art program, a teacher to reduce class size for the upper grades.

Melissa: This school should start over from scracth. Lacking academics. Only teaching to the test. Bullying is rampant. Children torment each other. No plan to fix this problem. Just a "boys will be boys" attitude. Teachers are unprofessional and spew your business to others parents. The DK is a waste of your child's time. Just a way for the school to get more money. Fundraising group is lacking integrity when spending our money. Princpal only caters to the parents with money. School is overrun with filthy rodents in the classrooms. They sell gross candy & carbs to the children afterschool, eventhough LAUSD says they can't. Too many fieldtrips you must drive and transport other children. Left the school after 2 years of hell.
