I went to West freshman year and am now a senior at kimball, and west has made my freshman yr the best ever! I thank God for senting me to west my first yr of high skl and making memories and friends that I will remember for the rest of my life!!! =) all my teachers I had freshman yr were great! They have a gr8 space and engineering program my BFF was in and is still in now (she's a snr), the other gr8 thing is when I was going here the skl had 4000+ students and I never ever felt or thought it was crowded! (ok actually just one day when we all had the same lunch then the campus was packed!) but I love how beautiful and big this skl is! GO WOLFPACKS!!!!! =D

I go to West High and they do have some good teachers but they do need to work on the cleanliness of there bathrooms. I know that the economy is down but I still feel that the bathrooms should include toilet seat covers, because not ever student is germ free. I also believe that some of the teachers should try to make learning more interesting and not talk in monotones so the students will pay attention. Futhermore, the lunch menu should be healthier because in America the obesity rate of teens is increasing. Lastly, I think that West High should include more SAT preparations included in the curriculum other than just the PSAT which is given once a year. If these changes are made, I think it will help improve students test scores, grades, and they will feel safe about using the bathrooms.

jennifer robbins: I attended west high in 2001 till 2004. This school from my personal experiences lacks the student teacher relationship that the students require to actively learn and grow. I believe that some of the staff abuses their power as teachers and tends to throw away what they call "trouble kids", giving those student no hope off overcoming any hurdles they have in there lives that gives them the label of the "trouble kid". I attended Duncan Russell for my last year of high school and not only did I graduate which many at West High were quick to throw me away but I graduated early at the top of my school and with a collage scholarship from Pepsi Cola. This is all possible not because of West high who so easily discarded me like trash but because of Duncan Russell who saw the bright and responsible student that was in there all along!

Well I went to this high school for all four of my high school years and I believe it's a very good school. The school offers many programs for students that have trouble with homework such as math, science, history labs, etc. There were a lot of fights when I went there but as long as you hang out with calm crowds then there is no need to worry about your safety.

I'm a junior at West. I've realized that, at least with my teachers, they really do try their best for the students to succeed in school. I am comfortable at my school and I've never felt like I was in any kind of danger what so ever.

Susan Alcala: I have two boys attending West High since their Freshman year.  The teachers have been very supportive as well as the administration.  They enjoyed attending and have had wonderful friends.  The school has always address issues that have arisen and placed security messures to assure safe envirment.
