Freedom is a small school with a reputation for taking all the 'bad' kids that can't fit into regular high schools and while that may be true to some extent I have found that the staff is very caring and willing to work with my daughter in ways that Pitman high school was not. My daughter has special needs and was in need of some stop gap assistance between coming down with her illness and recieving her testing and IEP. This has provided her a time to begin to heal without judgement in a welcoming atmosphere. This is a refreshing change from what I have encountered here in Turlock. This school is an independant study school and so has very little in the way of instruction assistance but if your child is having difficulties this is a great place to get back on track.

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
