We moved to Turlock partially because we'd heard such great things about Pitman High School. I believe the administration has an over-inflated view of themselves. Too bad they aren't as concerned about their students as they are themselves.

I just graduated from Pitman a few months ago and I found the teachers to be very supportive of the different academic interests of the students. The teachers there did their best to prepare me for college.

I have two daughters that have attended Pitman High and because of their special needs was pressured to take them anywhere else. It was strongly suggested that they (at different times by different counselors) seek education elsewhere because they would fail to meet the level of academic success expected of them. Let me state that they both have tested above average cognitively however they both suffer from physical disablilities. I was even told by one of the AP teachers that people with illness have no business in AP classes. My complaint about this episode fell on deaf ears and my children have since gone to better schools.
