Delaine Eastin Elementary School

I recently enrolled my child to Delaine Eastin.  Well, my child is happy, but I am not.  Coming from a prestigious school were all school's employees were respectful and courteous, it is such a big change to experience public school. So far, my experiences have been close to nightmares.  First,  I don't think that there is enough homework to reinforced what students  learn at school. School work is too easy that my child finds it amazing! Of course he does not know yet what he is missing. A lot of my child's classmates are not up to standard when it comes to reading and writing short summaries of stories they bring home. Many of my child's classmates can't spell well.  Second, since my child started attending this school, my child has learned many bad words that he takes home from school.  My child also has learned to be disrespectful and say inappropriate words.  Third, parents of most students at this school are undisciplined especially when it comes to parking their cars when picking-up their kids and bringing their kids to school.  Finally, I am not at all impressed with the overall performance of this school.  I believe a lot more could be done to improve the quality of education and behavior of children attending this school. Last but not the least, while waiting for my son's dismissal, I read most essays written by students entitled, I Have a Dream.  Many essays that were displayed had many grammar errors, and the fact that they were posted there despite of the grammar errors proved to me that this school is not monitored effectively.  The essays were disgusting, how could they even post them on the board.  They should be posting essays written with perfection in mind.

Lisy C.: This school is very regonized. They should get 5 stars for their good education and their awsome teaching...more to inspire the teachers, because thats what get's our kids VERY educated. :)
