Portola Elementary School Reviews
My child attended Portola Elementary School for less than one year. I finally had to pull him out because he was one of many children being bullied on the playground. I was volunteering every day in order to keep an eye out for him; even that did not seem to deter the bullies. The saddest part is that the principal and the district did nothing about it. I asked for more adult eyes and ears on the playground; they told me that was an unreasonable request. I was very patient with the school in trying to resolve this matter. My child was bullied from October to March, when I finally decided to do homeschool instead.
I can honestly say that there are other children that i's happening to, but are not saying anything to their parents. Please ask your children daily; it is a serious problem, and Portola does not know how to handle it.
