About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system.

School Mission Statement
Trusting relationships, mutual respect and communication are critical aspects of our students’ learning environment.
The mission of Ivy Academia is to help each child reach his/her fullest potential by cultivating an active village of parents, community members, and stakeholders involved in providing an individual, personal, and conceptual learning environment for each student. This school, aimed at educating individuals for the 21st century, intends to enable students to think critically, understand, and internalize the responsibilities of living in a diverse society, and to utilize technological tools that are constantly changing and are integral to the functioning of this society.
Our course of study is an integrated entrepreneurial thematic approach that ties the separate disciplines of the curriculum together into studies of the physical universe, the world of nature, art, music, and the human experience.
Ivy Academia's curriculum encompasses the full substance of the traditional curriculum of California public schools, as detailed in the State Content Standards and as mandated by No Child Left Behind, and goes beyond to teach students how to think clearly, do their own research, express themselves well in writing and speech, and to apply knowledge in a practical way.
