Grandview High School Reviews

I am a grand parent of a freshman in your school. Since he has been in your school, I have supported him with money and buy buying thing's sold at various activities..He played on the freshman football team in which I and many member's of his family have attended. His Mother and Dad are graduates, of Rangeview HS also in Aurora, also I have two other of my family that have graduated from Rangeview.   Now the reason I am giving you this review, is to let you know of a incident that happened at the recent State playoff game between Grandview & Rangeview..We chose to sit on the Grandview side of the bleacher's at Aurora stadium, because we were supporting my Grandchild that was with us that attend's your  school.. When we got there we moved up into the middle section of the bleachers to get a good view of the field to watch the game.. Then many of the Grandview student's  started showing up and they stood in front of us blocking our view, we and not just myself and my Son and Grandson asked them to sit down so we could see the game too..Well more and more students, kept coming and we decided rather then create a incident, we moved up higher..However the higher we got the more student's came and blocked the view of many Grandview Parent's and Grandparent's and other supporter's in attendence, when we asked them again to sit down  they looked at us and gave us the feeling we did not belong there this was there school..Well I decided to go to the Rangeview side of the bleacher's and see how there student body was doing in retrospect to Granview's,.Well to my supprise they were more thoughtful and allowed all their supporter's to view the game..   Needless to say, I am disapointed in Grandview's student body as they were absolutely RUDE in respect to their supporter's.. You folk's are in the Cherry Creek School district, with many more affulent family's then in the Aurora public School District, I was appaled at the manner's your student body displayed..I will continue to support my Grandkid and the next one that will be in attendence in a couple of year's, but your current student body left a real bad taste in my mouth.. I know it's not all the student's that were in attendence, did this, but the one's that were and did what they did, I am embarrased and frankly upset this happened ..   Thank You

I graduated in 2004 from  Grandview and now have a cousin graduating. I am now a 2nd year Med Student at CU and my cousin is going to CU in the fall. Based on this I would say Grandview has done and still is doing an excellent job.

My daughter just started her freshman year at Grandview and so far she is enjoying her classes and loves her teachers.  The school is wonderful and so far so good for my student.

Grandview High School is NOT the great school it was several years ago.  Like other Cherry Creek schools, it is all about numbers and not about students, teachers & community.  The district has lost sight of what their mission is; to educate students in a caring, inviting and motivating way.  Some teachers are still awesome and give 110% while some administrators are "yes men" only looking to justify their jobs.  Hard to find a high school where students are looked at as individuals rather than a TEST SCORE.
