Montessori School Of Aurora Reviews
My son has been at the school for about a year. He loves going to school and loves his teachers. We really like that they have a webcam to view your child throughout the day. Gives me as a parent "peace of mind "that my son is happy and doing well at school.
This program at Montessori School of Aurora is very good and meets the needs of its students quite well. I am an educator in the school district at one of the local public schools and find Montessori educated children are very independent, curious and function well in the public school environment. I have sent both of my daughters here and the staff have fostered both of them beautifully. They are both safe and happy and learn wonderful concepts as well. My oldest was very well prepared for Cherry Creek Schools. She is excelling and is in the top 10% of her class. We reinforced the learning done at Montessori and are pleased with how well she is doing. In response to other reviews that are negative, I would beware of people who would send their daughter to a wonderful school for 3 years and malign that school when their child does not perform as well as they hope. It takes a village to raise a child. Blame cannot rest on one person or institution.
I have an active child, my child went to another Montessori school with no problems, then this one from age 3 - 4, he learned bad social skills on the play ground, which carried over in to the school and home, and started to dislike school. All in one semester, the suggested to seek physicians help. We were in the process, after two weeks of the school trying new things, and they said they were changing his class to separate him from the group that had formed etc. Well mid second week they asked for him not to come back. If your child does not focus well on his own I would not recommend this school, Lori the owner is only involved the business side of her school, and as of Jan. 2010 are loosing their best kindergarten teacher for 10yrs, Mrs. Tara.
Beware of this school! It's not clean or run well. Our daughter went here for 3 years, including their 'Advanced Kindergarten'. Within one week of being in the local school’s first grade class, we were told she needed to repeat Kindergarten... They didn’t even know what the state or local standards are for Kindergarten until I showed them the Cherry Creek pamphlet! It’s our daughter who has been hurt by this!
