I am a resident  in the neighborhood where TJ is located.  My street is between TJ and the Safeway shopping center and I am appalled by the amount of trash strewn along Happy Canyon and Jefferson streets.  I regularly clean-up after the students, yell at them when they throw their trash, and commend those who choose to find a trashcan.  I have 3 children and they WILL NOT go to TJ simply because of the impression the students have made and the passive attitude the administration chooses to take as far as controlling the behavior.  This problem has gotten worse over the years.  NOT a great representation for this high school.

My son attends this school.  I have had a pretty good experience so far.  We have complete one school year.  His techers did well to keep me informed about my son.  Now there is still improvements that could be made I think, but I was not disappointed.

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
