Thomas Jefferson High School Reviews
This school does not get the positive recognition that it deserves. My 9th grade daughter enjoys going to school this year, her first year in high school. There is immense communication between students and teachers, and teachers and parents. One teacher in particular Mr. Palmieri, has the capacity to look within the students and make them enjoy coming to class--I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for my daughter, and the other students.
I am a resident in the neighborhood where TJ is located. My street is between TJ and the Safeway shopping center and I am appalled by the amount of trash strewn along Happy Canyon and Jefferson streets. I regularly clean-up after the students, yell at them when they throw their trash, and commend those who choose to find a trashcan. I have 3 children and they WILL NOT go to TJ simply because of the impression the students have made and the passive attitude the administration chooses to take as far as controlling the behavior. This problem has gotten worse over the years. NOT a great representation for this high school.
My son attends this school. I have had a pretty good experience so far. We have complete one school year. His techers did well to keep me informed about my son. Now there is still improvements that could be made I think, but I was not disappointed.
I think that this school has many problems i would look at different schools I am currently looking for a different school
