Coal Creek Canyon K-8 Elementary School Reviews
My daughter has just entered into kindergarten, so we were not sure what to expect of this public school. However, after the first half of the school year we become increasingly disappointing with the school. We disapprove of the teacher for several reasons. One being that her clothing is not appropriate for her position in an elementary school or any school for that matter. Also, she introduced the idea of witches who eat children to our daughter and now we have problems with nightmares. It seems as though there is no follow up with the children to learn what they are being taught in classroom. My daughter is not able to explain the work she brings home. The school lacks a solid principal. The current one just began this year and now we are notified that they are looking to hire another. The music program has been a complete joke thus far and the library staff has no more credit. As we live in the mountains we are looking for alternatives such as the local Waldorf inspired school or home schooling. We cannot speak for the older grades but as a kindergarten parent we would not recommend this school.
