As a teacher currently employed, in response to the high school educator, students who are at risk of failing meaning 2 Ds do NOT graduate from our school. This is more stringent than all schools in Bridgeport. We are required by law to send transcripts of grades, as far as I am aware. I am very confident that if that information was needed, then our guidance counselor can easily obtain that information from teachers. Students who you may have received "nearly failing" may have left our school for that reason, but trust and believe that we did not promote them. They may have done some back handed stuff to get into your public school, because they know that your policies for failing is weaker than ours. Sad thing is, you took them in instead of having them repeat 8th grade. Shame on us? Not at all, shame on BOE, absolutely!!!

This school is very good at everything they do. I am a current student at Park City Prep in the 7th grade with amazing teachers who want to see you succeed. They also have good academic support to help the students. My final thing to say they have a good student council, drama club, boys&girls basketball team, and they great faculty.

As a high school educator in Bridgeport, I have seen too many students arrive in the public high school unprepared. Some were nearly failing at Park City Prep, and there were no documented interventions. The students arrive from the ***charter*** school only to fail in public school. How are Charter schools better than public schools?

Milly Detres: Two of my sons graduated from Park City Prep Charter School. It is a great school. The teacher's keep the parents up to date with everything going on with the child. The support and communication is unbelievable. Smaller class sizes greatly improve the learning, retention and interaction with the children. Built self-confidence in the young teenagers. My son's graduated and are now attending Fairfield College Prep School. My third son will now be attending Park City Prep and I am excited for him.
