Both my children are at South School, and I've been thrilled with the quality of the teachers and the education. Contrary to the previous review, they are not fast to hold back children. All three elementary skills in the district are excellent.

Out of all the three schools in New Canaan South school is the worst, they use threats to DCF for educational neglect if you have too many sick days, or lateness, or if your child is not above their bench mark testing scores (so their school can rank high). This is the pure truth. Fast to hold your child back too. This information is from more than one source. I have heard better things about East school and the high school, or better yet move to a different town like Wilton. Save yourself and your child from a lot of stress and pick a different school.
