Robert S. Gallaher Elementary School

The school climate is not what it use to be, change of staff has caused a negative impact. There is only support for certain children. Its funny how they make it seem they are doing well, blue ribbon is questionable. You are not alone, many parents are concerned, listen closely to your children. So sad to see a once wonderful school slipping away. Don't believe anything you read in the paper, seemed strange a flyer is sent out one month before an article in the paper, now it makes sense. An award is given for parent involvement??, parents I spoke to see a decline. Not all services are open to all children and parents are not encouraged to be involved. If you complain they will retaliate and make life uncomfortable for your child or ignore the problem. Parents should observe more, even if you believe everything is fine and you believe what you read. If the school truly encouraged parent involvement school climate (fighting, cursing and bullying by students and teachers) would be a little different. This is not a caring and nurturing environment. You must go in more than once and see for yourself.

I think it is a great school but in some cases goofing around and playing interfears with the learning of students.Also in some cases the teachers show favortisam to certain children. Personaly language is a big issue (cursing)for students curse as well as the teachers,which i feel isnt good for them to be a blue ribbon school.I feel as if this effects the learnig and improvment of this perticular school.
