This is my daughters 2nd year at this school and I just love it! They are so involved in the kids learning with a great staff. I feel the staff, even down to the gym teacher, really cares about my daughter. Mr. Wilke is the best principal I have ever known. He is extremely involved and you can find him walking the halls and getting things done at any given time or day. His great leadership skills are a true example and why I believe he has such a great staff that represents him well. Kudos!
The school is clean, well maintained, and isn't too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer. The staff is very friendly, supportive, patient, and organized. There hasn't been a time yet in my second grader's mini career here that I haven't been able to get a hold of any staff member. They have plenty of field trips for the kids and even spend class time outdoors. They allow the children to work at their pace within reason and offer help if needed or extra work if desired. I'm greatly pleased with this school and can't find a single thing I'd like changed. Because of that reason I give McVey 5 stars.
