Kuumba Academy Charter School
This school was good with grades and learning but the kids were rude and mean to my little cutie and I took her out when she was going to third grade. I love you kuumba but it's the kids!

Kuumba Academy Charter School
I found Kuumba Academy to be a great school when my daughter was first enrolled there in the fourth grade. Her grades were decent and barely any behavioral issues. However, fifth grade was an entirely different story. I would contact her teachers and the administrative staff with questions and concerns and would not receive a response, my daughter would come home and tell me things that were said to her that I deemed as unprofessional by the staff, and the behavior issues in that school were horrific to say the least! We were barely half way through the school year and I was just wishing that I could remove her from that school. I told her things would get better and to stick it out. We finally made it and she graduated the fifth grade. Needless to say, even if Kuumba did not end at fifth grade my daughter would not had been returning to that school. They have some major issues to fix. Unfortunately, I can't see recommending this school unless you don't want your phone calls and emails answered, attitude from the office receptionist when you call to try to speak to someone, and dealing with certain teachers who feel they can say mean hurtful things to your child. Sorry

Kuumba Academy Charter School
I think that Kuumba was an excellent school until this year with my son now being in the 4th grade. He did very well and his State testing scores where above the state average. This year is proving to be a bit different. I love Kuumba for children under the age of 9-10 years old.

Kuumba Academy Charter School
stephanie L. Kennedy: I have heard great things about Kuumba. I have a seven year old son, who I want to attend Kuumba when he gets to the sixth grade. I see a lot of positive things that the school has done and is doing with the children. I am truly impressed with the school and the way that it is being operated. Great job!!! Keep up the excellnet work.
