Well as far as some staff members its a good school. But as far as my peers(other students) they are out of control, and there is too much drama, I transferd to Springer Middle School and its alot better. The students and staff are nice to eachother, and the bulling rate is MUCH lower. I defenetly prefer Springer over Talley, although i do miss my friends. haha :)

My daughter attends this school and she loves it. Since her transfer from another district, her grades and test scores have improved.
As for the fights and bullying, other schools are no better. I see no difference at Talley than I would at Bayard, Shue, Kirk, Springer, or P.S. Other parents I know have children in these schools and it is the same thing. This is middle school and there are lots of social changes. If a student or parent feels unsafe they need to address it with the school as soon as it occurs.

I don't recomend this school. Many fights accur during the school day, constant bullying, and some of the teachers shouldn't be teachers. Sorry.

My children are in the IB Program and I can't say enough good things about it. My kids enjoy going to school everyday, the projects assigned are informative and thought provoking and my children have excelled this year over all. Teachers seem very comitted and caring about student's progress. Great Principal and the staff is very helpful. Some unruliness amoung the student population but I would expect that anywhere given the ages of the kids. Would recommend highly.
