About the DCCAS
What is it?
The District of Columbia Comprehensive Assessment System (DC-CAS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in reading and math in grades 3 through 8 and in grade 10.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored at four levels: below basic, basic, proficient, and advanced. The goal is for students to score at or above the proficient level.
