Lake Orienta Elementary School Reviews
I absolutely love this school. I saw a big diffrence in my children once I enrolled them into this school.
My son went to LOES for less than one school year. My son has very high-functioning Autism (his problems are mainly social - Not behavioral or learning) and an IEP. His needs were never met at this school. Most of his OT resources were never even instituted in the classroom (even though I bought them and took them to the school myself). At every meeting and with every report, I felt like the school was tattle-taleing on him instead of trying to help him succeed, or giving me ways to help the situation. The school finally decided (after 5 months) that my son didn't belong at that school and they were not willing to deal with him. Despite my voiced concerns, they transferred him to another school. They did it mid-school year, despite my concerns for my son's emotional state. Changes and transitions are hard for my son. The school as a whole may be okay, but they are severely lacking in their resources (or even the willingness to acquire resources) to help certain children who are outside the norm. They had no sympathy, empathy, or willingness to find ways to help. In addition to all this, the office staff are very rude. At every encounter I had with them, they were rude to me, my son (in front of me), or other students.
