What is it?

The FCAT is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students are assessed in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science, and in grades 4, 8, and 10 in writing.

How is it Scored?

Students score at one of five levels, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3 (grade level).

Archer Community School

i thought a school in such a small community would be closed minded and excessively old fashioned. i have never been so happy to be so completely wrong. the school is beautiful, well run, welcoming and innovative. because of the small size and the genuine caring interest of every faculty member, each student is given the opportunity to form an individual relationship with their teacher and because of that relationship, is given a better chance to succeed.
