Claremont Montessori School

I personally went to Claremont for eight long, hard years. From my experiences, I think that they teach we (former, in my case) students well in math, geography, history, and science arts. But not so well in literature. In fact, in my first quarter of my Freshman Year of High School, I got a C in Literature because of a bad background. In fact, I didn't know what a simile was until this year!!!!

The foreign language department is alright, even though I didn't understand a thing when I took French for two years. I retook French I in high school and I'am learning more than I learned in my two years of French at Claremont. What's even worse is that a foreign language is required for all 7th and 8th Graders!

Extracurricular activites were mostly clubs like "chess club", "PE club", etc. But there were no sports teams, which was another flaw. For all you boys out there who like sports, Claremont is NOT the place to go.

Claremont also has annual Spelling and Geography Bees (wink wink, nudge nudge), which are also fun for students, even if they win some of them.

Socially, the school was very small. When some people think about "small", they may think about 200 students. But Claremont can hold a maximum of 133 people, including teachers, etc. But making friends is easy to do, even though there are 2-3 grades in one classroom, which have an average of about 25 students total.

But other than that, everything else was great from my experiences.
