Burns Middle School Reviews
For the past 5 years my children have attended Burns Middle School. We have never had a bad moment at this fine school. We have had a challenge or two with some rules or teachers with different work ethics. But if you're involved with your kids and their school, things work out. My kids have gone to schools from coast to coast and in Europe. We have seen communities of nearly all makeups, different customs, many religions and many different political ideologies. One thing all local populations had in common was children. From our observations we could see, no matter were we lived, that nearly everyone wanted their children to be successful and reach their full potential. Unfortunately, we have also witnessed a few children that did not have the opportunity to benefit from this support. Quite often these children did not have the love, guidance and positive motivation from parents or other caregivers. We are proud to be part of the Burns family.
I agree that they dont treat each child as a individual. The rules are the same for each even if the child is ivolver 100% or 1% of the situation. The rules are the same.....which should not be..Each rule should be dealt with differently. Not all the same. For this I hate this school!!! It is terrible.
The school is a great place to get an education, but they apply their rules inadequately. While it is common to expect a school's administration to enforce rules appropriately. It is my recent understanding that equity is not applied for all. For a school with about 1500 students this is disappointing. As a teacher I would expect all students to be treated as individuals.
