Branford High School

Sue B. Truman: on june 4th, 2010 I was told there was a wonderful surprise graduation night..i had just travelled 16 hours straight thru, by car, from New Jersey, to see my granddaughter graduate..when i arrived at the gate, i opened up the program, and to my delight I saw that my granddaughter was graduating as the Salutatorian..I stood in my tracks, right on the football field, and started crying and  then with her aunt and cousin and sister we were told that we were to sit in the FRONT ROW  reserved for Elizabeth C. Engelke's guests..i just couldn't contain the tears and as we all held each other, all the trials and tribulations that Elizabeth had overcome the past 7 years seemed so very well worth it..i was so proud and thrilled, not only for the night and waiting to see Elizabeth walk onto the field as #2 and to hear her speech but to know that she was advancing to the Universityof Central Florida to further her education in the medical field..perhaps through all of the family's heartache and joy over the years both in New Jersey and Branford that Elizabeth is exactly where God intended her to be,  for her to get where she is today..thank you Branford High School and all that supported her through the past year that was so difficult..you all know who you are and so does God........signed, Sue B.
