Kimberly: My twin 8 yr olds have attended Oasis Elementary since kindergarten and as a family we are all very impressed.  Mr Hook the principal is always arround, knows all students and parents by name and attends all events associated w/ the school.  His love of teaching and his respect for the kids success flows over to the staff.
The 30 hour volunteer hours is mandatory and is easily achievable thru attending events, having lunch w/ your kid(s), attending book fairs etc... the teachers and staff try very hard to accomodate everyone.
The Core Knowledge program is a fantastik curriculum they use! They set high goals for the kids and want and expect results and shown by the overall test scores for the school they are getting the results they want!
I would highly recommend Oasis Elementary to anyone.

Kathryn Sayers: Oasis Charter Elementary in Cape Coral,FL is a wonderful school! Core Knowledge is the foundation of the schools educational directives and it is challenging. This school has high expectation of it students, parents and staff which is reflected in repeatedly receiving  A+ ratings and high SAT and FCAT scores. As a result there is a long waiting list to get into this school. Since, parental involvement is mandatory and uniforms are required it may not be the right for all families.  I am an involved working Mom and I  am amazed at how much my 8 & 6 year old are learning from this school. I feel this is all a result of excellent leadership of the schools administration, dedicated staff and their ability to foster a quality education in a disciplined and nurturing environment. This school gets an A++

This school is relatively new and has many issues to overcome.  Parent involvement is mandatory for your child to attend.  Children go to school longer due to the supposed no homework policy, this is what we were told.  However, there is indeed homework and projects.  Overall, we would not suggest this school to friends,  family or within business relationships.
