I agree with the last parent that posted. This school seems to be going down hill. There is a problem with bullying and not doing enough about it. It seems some teachers are at their wits end when it comes to disruptive kids. They get no help from administration when it comes to handling these children. My son had no field trips this year because of the disruptive children in his class. The principle said it wouldn't be fair for the rest of the class to go on a field trip if the disruptive children weren't able to go. (Now that is something new - punishing the whole class for a couple of children's bad behavior!!) I'm fed up!! I am trying to get my children in a different school for the next school year.

I am extremely disappointed in where this school is heading. I have been with Plumb for a long time. Ever since the new administration was assigned to this school, the school has started going down hill fast! The new administration has no respect for their parents or teachers. I have had many of my friends leave the school for this reason or be placed on a waiting list for other schools ( Curtis or Pinellas Prep).

Dawn Marie Humpreys: I feel Plumb Elementary school is the best school in Pinellas County. We have purchased a home in area just so our children will be in the school district. Our daughter went there and now has a finance degree from UF and graduated with honors and now lives in Dallas Texas working for the JC Penny corporation. We are very proud of her and that shows successful children can be successful in the public school system if you as parents get involved with the outstanding teachers that work there. Our son is going into Grade-3 and I have been very happy with his teachers. We as a family are very excited for him to start another year. My husband and I are very grateful for every teacher that has helped are son be the best that he can be. Please keep up the wonderful work you are doing and we are excited about the new principal that will be starting this school year. I hope everyone had a great and relaxing summer so far!

BEST ELEMENTRY SCHOOL AROUND! The teachers are amazing. The school is clean. The teachers there inspired me and are the reason why I'm in college now to be an elementry school teacher. Its a school where the teachers love to teach and truely care about there students.
