St Stephen's Episcopal Day School Reviews
If the most important priority in choosing a school is what and how your child learns, this will not be the right school for you. The highly marketed technology was nothing more than electronic babysitting. There are problems with classroom management, ineffective minimally-trained teachers and many basic supervision issues. It is almost as if you pay for all the things that do not matter and none of the things that actually do. It was a complete disappointment. Our children have changed schools and the difference has been excellent and also shocking. We were told to expect that our children would be behind coming from this school and they were. Overall, we could not recommend it to anyone.
You couldn't get a better, more well-rounded education experience for your child than at this fantastic school! From the lessons learned in chapel, to the everyday attention teachers give each student, it is the whole child who benefits from the caring education provided at St. Stephen's. It is truly a family-like atmosphere and safety is always a top priority. My child has enjoyed attending for the past few years and has had the best experiences from the classroom, to field trips, to the technology that has now become a 1-to-1 program in the upper grades. Highest recommendation possible!
St. Stephen's is a great school. My daughters have both attended the school since Pre-K. We have found the teachers to be highly qualified and caring, and in my opinion, they go above and beyond every day. My oldest child is graduating this year and she has become a confident, well-rounded, independent learner thanks to her teachers at St. Stephen's. The school is also a wonderful community to be a part of. There are many opportunities for parent involvement. St. Stephen's church is very welcoming. We've had a wonderful experience!
Poor leadership, curriculum is based on more social - less academics, lack of organization within classroom and overall in the schools extracurricular activities.
