Bar & Ferg's Academy Reviews

By on

Bar & Ferg opened in 1987. I visited the school on several occassions. Great school! Warm inviting environment for children. Director is stern, and doesn't tolerate substandard behavior from children (or parents, for that matter). Kids are taught to say "yes maam", "no maam", and to say, "mommy, have a nice day" in the mornings, and "mommy, how was your day" in the evenings. Most of all, children are taught the Bible, along with solid christian morals and values. Together and sing traditional and conteporary gospel songs during their praise an worship morning sevices. I love to see all 150 of them, PK-3rd grade, singing, shouting and dancing to "churchin" music.

Many parents boast that their Bar & Ferg graduates now excell in upper elementary, middle and high school. The best thing about Bar & Ferg is that minority children are schooled in a christian atmosphere with competitive academic performance, without having to compromise ethnic diversity, and exposure to other children who look like them (if you know what I mean).

Great school.I wished it had more resources and continued through to grade 5.My son is doing great.THE principal and vice are very involved and attempt to get kids in different activities as much as possible.
