San Carlos Park Elementary School Reviews

The administration is just as frustrated with the poor grade that it recently received.  They mentioned that even though the school has more special needs kids than other schools...that they should not be a C school.  They are going to UP their game.

I actually had a positive experience at the school.  The teacher saw my son flourishing in class and asked for him to be tested for the gifted program.  The school developed an enrichment program just for him...accelerated reading; going to the next grade level up for reading class; math programs and testing on the computer in his classroom.

The reason why I only rate it a 3 is because I know they can make it at least a B school (they have some phenomenal teachers).  They recently made some changes for this school year and I am hoping they can show all the negative nellies that it is a school that CARES and wants the children to FLOURISH.

It is an ARTS school and this is why I continue to have my son there.  Keep in mind that the school also has a low parent involvement ratio.  I AM ACTIVE and believe that it is important for parents to work with the teachers to see their children excel.

Terrible administration. A poorly managed school, run more like a low-grade factory than a place to encourage and grow young minds. The sad part is, a few years ago, it was a positive, caring place.
