Terry Parker High School

My child was enrolled during the summer under her correct name with a new birth certificate & ss card. However, she has been enrolled under her former name for the entire school year. Numerous requests to have her name changed have been ignored. To say that I am not is pleased is an understatement. Forget asking a human to help & don't try calling... no-one returns your calls. I guess  I need to take off of work & go down in person & make a scene... I notice that the people who do that at least get acknowledged.

still seein a guidance counselor is about as hard as ever.. no matter what they wont see anyone.. my kid had been tryin for 2 months now to see the guidance counselor they say fill out a white slip and thats it.. she needs to see them. for her chance of graduatin and figurin out what to do bout her physics grade. i now have to go to the school and demand someone see me before my child fails!

Jeanne Kleisler: The band concert was fantastic.  As a grandparent of a band member I always enjoy the concerts but this spsring concert was the best.  It was well planned, the solos were beautifully performed and ending with the marching band was a great idea.  Hats off to the bandleader and his wonderfull, talented students.  Jeanne Kleisler

Delene Stoner: I have 4 children who have attended Parker, graduating in 2002
2004,2006 and the last one is there as of 2009. This school has gone from being a great school to a nightmare. The crime is unparralleled. Lock downs for weapons at least twice a week, every week. My son is convinced that he will be killed. Needless to say, his grades have tanked, because thinking about class assignments is the last thing on his mind. He has been the victim of armed robbery twice while changing classes. The administration has become just as bad. If you doubt it, just try calling the guidance department to request a meeting. The last time I did, I was told they were too busy to even make an appointment for me and I should call back in a week or so. My son is supposed to have IEP reviews. He hasn't had one in 3 years. When I pointed this out, they said that they are too busy to worry about every student in the school.  REALLY?  This is the worst school in the county. If you care about your child, GET THEM OUT!!!  And they wonder why the drop-out rate has gone up.   I am sending my son to FCCJ for a GED. I'd rather he have his diploma, but at least he will be alive.
