Sabal Point Elementary School

Alana Owens: This school is amazing!  I do not agree with the opinion above.  During open house it's an information forum and it's not a meet the teacher session.  If you want a meet the teacher personal face to face meeting schedule a conference.  During my last attended open house the teacher had so much information to share he didn't have time for a meet and greet much less an acknowledgement of who was there.  In high school you sign in so that they know who attended.  As a matter of fact when my husband was in a motorcycle accident in March of 2002 my first son had a teacher Mrs Halbfoster who actually would take him to her house after school so that I could visit my husband at a hospital an hour away and not have to worry about picking up my son and even taking him out to eat on her husband's birthday.  They really care about the students and the parents at this school.

elisha Persaud: I have three kids that attend Sabal point Elementary in Longwood.  I went to meet the teachers for open house and two out of the three teachers did not even acknowledge my presence when I was in front of their faces.  I will never forget that I was treated this way.  I strongly believe it was because I am a colored person.
