jacqueline bayard: As a parent of  a son with special learning disabilities I heard alot of good things about SCMI.  My son also had behavioral issues. He got in trouble with the law so I asked the judge to send him to SCMI. That was the wrong decision! Every thing I read on their web site was far from the truth. They never did anything they say they do with the kids. My son was sent there for 4 to 6 mths, it turned in to 11mths. All the while I was being billed for everyday he was there. I had no idea. Im a single parent living in a one bedroom apt with my son because thats all I could afford.  They knew my son was behind his grade level in his education, yet he told me he was pulled out of class many times to work in the kitchen.  Do your homework and check out everyone. No one there has a degree or even any qualifications to work with these kids that have many problems and need true guidance.  I truly regret letting my son go there. I plan on letting United Way know the kind of organization they are funding.
