What is it?
The FCAT is an annual test used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science, and in grades 4, 8, and 10 in writing.
How is it Scored?
Students score at one of five levels, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3 (grade level).

VICTOR: 44 STUDENT TO A CLASS, THAT IS TOO MANY STUDENT, EVEN WITH TWO TEACHERS. MANY STUDENTS ATTENDING THE SCHOOL ARE FROM DIFFERENT DISTRICT. ITS MISLEADING TO SAY THE SCHOOL HAD 16 STUDENTS FOR EVERY FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT TEACHER.

BGEC is a superb school. From the teachers to the wonderful ladies at the cafeteria everyone is wonderful. The PTA could not be more involved in current issues, as well as, provide much needed tools to help the teachers teach our children . It is a great experience for any child to have, and a blessing for any parent. Keep up the good work!
