I have been to this school various times before as a volunteer/mentor to the kids. I do not know the history of the building but I've heard rumors that it used to be an old factory or something of that sort. Either way, this school doesn't have that much money. I agree that the cafeteria is not that big at all. But I'll also say that this school has the very best intentions for the education of their students. Most of these students need guidance and motivation in their classroom environment and its hard to do that when when you have insufficient funds. Rather than complain about security/cafeteria/teachers/grades etc... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If you took the time to search the web for this school than why not make an effort to search and find a way to help and upgrade this school's educational resources? They dont even have the standard pencil sharpeners on the wall in most classes from what I saw..
Make a difference for these kids who arent as fortunate as those who are prepared with all the resources needed to motivate these kids to WANT their education.

I am sorry to read that there was a student disappointed with this school, but I have to be honest, I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! The teachers work very hard with my three children that are currently enrolled and with the two previous children that attended ASPIRA Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter. The administrators are tough, but fair with all children and parents. The children know when they walk into this school, there will be learning taking place. Parents know that when their children are dropped off, they are going to be in a safe environment where they will learn. Thank you for all that you do for my children and for the children of Miami. WE LOVE YOU DE HOSTOS!!

This is not a review rather a complaint, and to tell you the truth i think that your school should have a bigger cafeteria and better security on your money because i did hear that you lost the money from your dress down days... And frankily the school might as well be only two floors because you only use those two floors ,the first floor is use less. Oh yes and let us not forget the fact that your teachers have been teaching for a very long time and i know that is difficult to find but, as i was saying they have been teaching for a long time but they still don't know how to treat thier students. Also you might want to find out if your teachers are doing fraud because of favoritism. you are probably wondering why??? Well because i have seen the grades on the papers but in the system thier different.
