Coconut Grove Montessori School Reviews
My son started in the toddler program , he was 17 months. By the time my child was 2 1/2 he was over the repetitive program. The teachers are very strict. You can view thru a camera the lack of interaction with one onother. As soon as my son was able to speak, he would tell me the teacher was mean and she would make his little friends cry. When I would walk my son in class he would hide in back of my legs and tell me the teachers were scary!!!!!! NOT what you want a toddler to feel!!!! My son would tell me some of the kids would cry all day long. Teachers are more interested in filling the classroom then taking the initiative to advise parents that the child is not getting acclimated to the envierment they provid.
I insisted they change my child out of the toddler program due to the lack of learning and constant crying from other children.
Once in Children's house a new nightmare started. " their so called concept of learning was not working. My son was always crying that other kids would hit him and always telling me he could not do things because he was to small.
Instead of learning from the old he was getting bullied by the 5 year olds and 6yearl old.... Teacher did nothing about it. I took my son out by the 3rd month of this BS!!!!
By the way my 3year old writes his name, can count to 100, knows his continents all thanks to iPad apps and lots of work from mom. Montessori concept is good for a 5 year old whom can tell you what is going on... I would not recommend this school.
