Cutler Ridge Elementary School Reviews
My daughter was diagnose with PDD as part of autistic spectrum disorder at the age of 4. She had to take pre-k twice because her b-day is at the end of sept. Her first year in Cutler Ridge was in kindergarten at the age of "6". When she started was a struggle, but her special education teacher Mrs. Ramirez dedicated her time to teach her and give her the best education she could get. By the end of the year my girl was reading, writing and even received an honors roll award. She improve so much through the year that her new diagnosis change from PDD to ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). Her neurologist and a forensic psychiatrist said that she outgrown her condition and now only has ADHD. I was extremely proud with her improvement and super happy with her school. The reason why I don't give Cutler Ridge 5 stars is because when I had the appt. at the middle of the year to update her IEP, they classified her as "severe autistic" and wanted to place her in a "special class" even though she was improving and having 100% on all her test. Later I found out that public school sometimes say that special kids have more needs so they can get $$$$ funds for the school. This affected us as a family, because my husband is military and he was denied to change duty station because according to her IEP she has "severe autism". Whenever I asked for an update of her IEP with the neurologist and psychiatrist dx the school refused to updated. I had to go to the district and even involve the school liaison from our military installation. It was a horrible experience, but the education and the school overall is great!
this school is awesome i went to private school before i went to cre in my opinion it is one of the best schools the teachers are awesome and the staff is super friendly i cherish my years at CRE
It has been trial and error raising 4 children. I spent a fortune sending my 1st 2 children to private school. Then I moved to an A+ school area. Both endeavors were not worth the $$ and effort compared to the education my last 2 children have gotten at CRE... and my hat's off to the principal Mrs White Mullens, her excellent attitude and diligence sets the pace for everyone around her. Every teacher I have encountered there has been extremely professional and communicative. Im so glad my kids are there!
