About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Lamar Louise Curry Middle School Reviews
My son was in gifted program and back there I was very happy with the school and the teachers. The school was an A school under Ms. Montano's Administration. Ms. Montano was trasnsfered to Terra Enviromental Reserch Institute, and everything is different now. Unfortunately the new Principle of Curry has changed many things including the way the Electives is presented to the sudents for them to select. I have had so much trouble with this Lady that is not even funny.
I love most of the Teachers at Curry, but I personaly dont think the new Principle is capable to deal with such a great program like Curry has.
My daughter is graduating from Curry this year, and she absolutly loves the school. Every morning when i drop off my daughter at school i know that she is in good hands. The counselors and vice principal are always on top of the students. The teachers as well are very involved and are ready to help the students in anyway they can. I couldn't have picked a better middle school for my daughter.
My son was in the IB programme at Curry and it was wonderful
great school, teachers are enthusiastic. Yes they are strict, but, hey...life is all about rules and kids need it. My son was happy at this school. He is now in high school IB
My child says the school is too strict, but I believe its a good thing because its actually makes my kids concentrate on school work.
