Riviera Middle School

I think that this is a wonderful school. The magnet programs are really challenging and the students are enriched by the experience. There are many clubs and activities for the children to become involved in. Staff and administrators are readily accessible and willing to help the students excel.

My son attends Riviera Middle, the schools is a decent school, with good teachers that care and go beyond their duties, but also teachers that have a very strong accent when they speak english and makes the learning process a little difficult for some kids, it deviates the attention to the spech from the teaching.  Mr. Ramsey, art teacher is the best and most human teacher in that school... Mrs. Valdivia-Z, the science teacher, has a unique way to connect with kids and inspire the hunger of learning on the students, she makes an impact on her class.   Mrs. Zamora, is very understanding with the kids and always looks for ways to keep them attentive.   The only negative thing to say is in regards to the Principal, Mrs. Carrier, who does NOT support the extra curricular activities in school, such as the athletics (softball, basketball, in particular wrestling!!!)   This activites are a vital part of the kids process to develop their personalities and stay away from problems...love for the sports teaches discipline, dedication, defines character, keeps them healthy... Its a shame that Mrs. Carrier does not feels the same way!!!!

My son goes to this school and the teachers are great... The art teacher Mr. Ramsy is the best art teacher my son ever had... Its a graet school...
